Close to home photography

Sometimes you either run outta ideas and feel in a photographic slump or just need to get out and shoot. When I get this itch I hit the backyard, and check outside for night shots, you don't have to go far(after a rain is a good time)

I am real creative naming my photos. I was picking my son up and passed these mail boxes and thought this could make a nice black and white country image.

These come and dye off every day, pretty amazing. It was later in the evening when I took this so the colors were not washed out and more saturated. I was waiting for a bunch to grow together to fill in the frame

Portraits with April

Taken in the back yard, using one light to highlight some shadow areas, bad day for enjoying the outdoors with the rain and clouds, but for pictures the clouds diffuse the light nicely

Have some large boulders out back covered in lichen in various patterns with the odd patch of green moss were theirs a crack large enough to take hold
